The following Daily Mail headline grabbed my attention:
The women's toiletries that cost up to 75% more than men's -
despite being virtually identical
Could it be that most women are stupid, gullible, easily manipulated by false hope, etc.?
Or could it be that men are less interested in personal hygiene, etc.?
Now that I have upset a whole bunch of people, let the comments fly...
I like the logic of the man's logic in the below New Yorker cartoon. The couple seem to be discussing art, but I can apply this to any discussion with my wife. We'll see how that works...
I admit to procrastinating at performing certain tasks around the house. My usual response to my wife's query about delay: "I'm thinking about it". This takes the heat off for the moment, because such a statement can lend even the simplest task a certain gravitas. How can she know that repairing or renovating something does not require special tools, architectural drawings, or zen preparation?
That's why I have to tip my hat to Hagar, a master of ingenious excuses for inactivity.
