For anyone that wants to look ahead…or look back, this is a rather good—albeit with too many British references (but one can interpolate)—assessment of becoming older.
I decided that I fear old age for only one reason: packaging.
I have difficulty now with many of the child-safe, tamper-proof plastic wrapping and caps; so I imagine the need at some point in my life to hire someone to open things for me…

Last night, my daughter gave birth to her first child. People been have trying to congratulate me, but I deserve none. I watched television at home. Answering the telephone and listening to updates are hardly making a contribution.
