Amongst all the ranting about class warfare, income inequality, socialism, taxing the wealthy, and Hitler (standard mention in all of the above), people might have missed a glaring anomaly in the world of business.
In what corner of capitalistic America do workers demand—and receive—a 50/50 split in income with owners? Not even Karl Marx would have imagined such a paradise. I cannot envisage the UAW, AFL-CIO, Walmart employees (of course, no union!), meat packers, or fast food workers even dreaming of such a thing.
In case you don’t read the sports pages or are too busy worrying about paying the bills, that is exactly what is happening in the NBA, where overpaid “workers” want even more money to play that boring game. That is not capitalism; that is highway robbery...of ticket buyers.
