* Except to the pathological liars in the United States and Russia. May they suffer a suitable fate.
An old guy who wears funny clothes and lives a life of luxury in Italy paid for by poor people’s loose change in collection plates is in the news lately. People think he will die. Those same people think that prayers will help him to live longer. Only for Catholics, of course. After all, this guy was once “god’s chosen” representative on Earth, until he chose to retire.
This raises one question.
If this guy and his successor, who lives in a palace in Rome paid for also by loose change in collection plates, are “god’s chosen” representative on Earth, why do a bunch of old men in an exclusive club, all paid by loose change from collection plates, vote for the guy to be the boss? As they say on Fox not-News, just askin’!
I have always said—and even put into dialogue in novels—that hate is a wasted emotion. Acting upon hate brings more bad than good.
That said, I am beginning to hate some of the Republican idiots, but also the stupid people that vote for them. The shameless and dishonest are. leading the idiots of the land.
All should be punished. But won’t be.
And don't get be started on Dear Leader...
There is a Republican politician about to become a member of the United States Congress who proves the adage: dishonesty is the best policy.
Kari Lake Flips Out at 7-Eleven After Buying Losing Lottery Ticket
By Andy Borowitz
PHOENIX (The Borowitz Report)—Kari Lake reportedly “flipped out” at a suburban 7-Eleven after buying a losing lottery ticket there on Christmas morning, multiple witnesses report.
According to those witnesses, Lake’s failure to produce a winning result in a lottery scratcher game called Cash Craze led her to accuse the ticket machine of being rigged against her and “riddled with fraud.”
While other customers averted their eyes, the former anchorwoman launched into a tirade on a wide range of targets, including the “pathetic” quality of Christmas presents she had just received.
A member of Lake’s extended family who spoke on condition of anonymity called her Christmas visit to the 7-Eleven “unfortunate” but said that “at least it got her out of the house for a few minutes.”
Tis the night before Christmas, (that modern form of an ancient pagan ritual, stolen/re-tooled by Christians to fit their myth) and all through the house…
Well, it depends upon where that house is located.
In the United States, children are anxiously awaiting the moment they can drag their parents from bed and open presents. Some will even be pleased.
In Germany, kids are in bed, happy (or disappointed) with their presents, because they opened them at dinner time.
I don’t know what goes in other countries. Mice might be creeping.
What is the key to success in US politics? This is a lesson now being taught in civics classes. The key is to combine dishonesty with shameless and get in front of cameras.
Attack anyone questioning or doubting as being partisan and lying about your dishonesty.
Don’t believe me? Just study the most-blatant members of the House of Representatives. These are horrible people…and they are running (ruining) the country.
Elon Musk Named Most Exhausting Person of 2022
By Andy Borowitz
NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Recognizing him for his “relentless contributions to the weariness of humanity,” Time has named Elon Musk the Most Exhausting Person of 2022.
In bestowing the title on Musk, Time cited the Twitter C.E.O.’s “nonstop but fruitless efforts to fill the yawning chasm of his soul by seeking the attention of indifferent strangers.”
In order to win the Most Exhausting crown, Musk bested a formidable list of contenders, including Kanye West, Kari Lake, and Senator Joe Manchin.
Most impressive, he wrested the titled from Donald J. Trump, who had won the honor every year from 2016 to 2021.
The Time editors’ decision drew no immediate response from Musk, who was preoccupied with a Twitter poll asking his followers what he should have for lunch.
The foundation of brand marketing (or politicians’) is made up of reach (how many people see/hear) the message) and frequency (how often they see/hear the message). This works in old media or new media or no media or no media.
So, every time the media show a story about the conmen (mostly Republicans), they are helping them spread their message and build their “brand”. The biggest grifter ever to plague the United States receives free reach and frequency to speed his lies and collect money from fools. And, is anyone besides me sick of seeing his face everywhere?
And, Republican are proving, once again, to have become the worst people in the country. With evidence clearly presented to the world, they will try to discredit the prosecution of a criminal, one who tried to destroy democracy. What is wrong with these people? Who’s paying them?
