Annals of Capitalism
A guy named Murdoch has been in the news a lot lately (except in some of the media he owns). Focus has been on the sleazy operations of some of his publications (although few mentions the lovely people at Fox News).
Few, if any, mention what a great business genius he is. He's the guy that bought Myspace for $580 million and then sold it for $35 million. He must have had his economics book upside down when he learned the rules. To show what a hold he has on "his" board of directors at News Corp. and the awe (or stupidity) of shareholders, there has not been any outcry at this loss. Of course, the M&A guys (my favorite capitalist animals) profited a second time.
