I have no idea who Kim Kardashian is.
Although the surname can be male or female, photos leave no doubt. Her ubiquity in the boulevard press suggests that she must be one of those people that are famous-for-being-famous. Fame, in this case, is a rather nebulous term. I have not run across the name in any serious newspaper.
I am aware of the name and have ignored revealing photos (revealing for the US, not Europe!), only because they appear each day--every day!--on the internet page of newspapers I scan.
Although curious (who is she/why does she rate so many column inches/what do the papers gain/who cares/don't these people have a life?), I refuse to spend one second of my valuable time on Earth to research this topic. Even the time needed to type the name into Wikipedia would be too much.
