I made a mistake...
But, it was not my fault (unless one counts shoddy/lack of fact-checking). On the plus side, this confirms my observation of dwindling interest in and knowledge of Christianity in Germany. I was misinformed by someone, who should know better. At least the bit about men drinking beer is correct.
Today is not Happy Cadaver (see below), but rather Himmelfahrt, which can be translated as "trip to heaven" or "ride to the sky" (church folks call it Ascension). This is not something to found at a Disney park or any other amusement park. It's not a ride for kids.
All is not wasted. I can dust off the incorrect post on June 7, when it will be correct. I certain that all will agree that repetition is always beneficial when attempting to learn a language.
