I have pointed out this fact a number of times, but a real writer has finally noticed. Of course, the article appeared in the Guardian, so it will have the same impact as my tree-falling-in-the-woods blog. But, it is nice to have like-minded company...
I have traveled to many lands. I feel fortunate to have visited the United States when a vibrant middle class still existed. It was a different place. Foolish politicians still lied and fought, but few noticed. On the surface, it was kinder and gentler place, because reality television and cable news had not been invented.
