Et tu, Brutus?
_ I just saw Ides of March. Excellent movie. Very entertaining, despite falling into the sad-but-true department. The acting is superb, the story compelling, and the writing outstanding. In a strange way, I did not hate any of the characters, despite the fact the each is or becomes a bastard. Each is caught up in a system, which destroys any vestiges of morality. Despite occasional tactical victories, no one wins or can win the war. Anyone that believes in the fairness of democracy and the power of the voter to decide will lose all hope. But, that’s life...as best portray on film...
