The biggest/loudest headlines today are about Facebook. It seems that a lot of people have become rich…and a lot more people have given them money to make them rich.
I do not do Facebook, mainly because I have found no reason. I have contact with my true friends and do not need to collect phony ones…or even earnest ones, who I do not know. Supposedly, membership would help me sell my dodgy books, but I prefer anonymity to money. That also explains the reason for not buying shares in the (possible) bubble.
I learned today that non-membership does not guarantee my desired anonymity. Perhaps, my name and email address is in the some members information or someone might have posted a photo, in which my lovely face appears (I cannot imagine why). This article suggests becoming a member, in order to control information. I will not.
I must face the fact that being a recluse is possible only with no electronic connection to world. I'm not ready for that, but will continue to protect my introversion.
