_ I will not live to see this, but I would welcome this becoming reality as early as tomorrow. Flying to Heathrow has always been a pain. It is not the worst airport in the world, but a worse one does not come to mind at the moment. The airport discussed in the article would save a lot of time in reaching central London for all arriving from Europe. Fllight time from Frankfurt would be under one hour, with favorable winds and kind ATC reducing that time even further. With improved ground transportation (hard to believe possible in England!), the trip might even be bearable. Now, a trip to London is a pain...
