I seem to recall November in Germany as the month of people dying...caused by the weather. It was always grey, rainy, and cold...not freezing cold, but damp cold. Old people, perhaps, could not face another year of such miserable weather, which would last until...well, the rain got warmer many months hence.
Thanks to global warming, climate change, or the Democrats, weather has been unseasonably warm. Temperatures have been in the 60’s and 70’s, with the sun being conspicuous in its presence unhindered by clouds. It has been rather pleasant. Tables are still occupied at sidewalk cafes, tops of convertibles are down, and jackets are unnecessary. It is difficult to know how to dress. Does one believe the calendar or the weather report?
Trees have turned to yellow, which gives the landscape a pleasant shade. It matches the yellow of sunshine, giving an unusual glow to life. The weather can stay like this until the rain gets warmer. because snow belongs in the Alps...and New England. Having shoveled shoe in my running shoes last year, I bought boots for the first time. I hope that this will prove to be a waste of money.
