_ No one knows how the human mind works. I certainly do not and rarely give this any thought...which is an example of the working of the brain.
I am certain that I dream every night, but almost never recall in the morning what has murmured or raged in my mind. Occasionally, I remember bits or snatches. Whenever I do, I am surprised by the weird jumble of unrelated events, people, and memories melding into something totally unrecognizable.
Unexpectedly (see above), I awoke this morning and recalled part of a dream. I was in some hotel with my family. The location was unrecognizable, but we were having our usual discussion/disagreement about where to have dinner. There must have been a selection of restaurants/cuisines. At some point, we must have agreed, because I recall different people heading in different directions for stairs, elevator, and escalator (another family mannerism). When we came together again, one child was missing. While frantically searching, my foremost thought was that I had neglected to make any blog entries for several days. I had rarely missed a day of this valuable service to mankind.
Have you ever heard anything so dumb? Why would I dream about my dumb blog?
I tried to discover sources of such foolishness. We often travelled together for vacations and have stayed a many hotels around the world. We have been discussing where to have to have lunch this week to celebrate something. A recent Modern Family episode had a child being lost in a hotel elevator. But, missing a blog entry...
I realized that today is the one year anniversary of this Fool On The Hill seeing the sun going down and the world going ‘round and putting down in writing various opinions, observations, and thoughts for the world—if the world so chooses—to enjoy, hate, dispute, whatever. Memory of the birth must have compelled my brain to come up with such a ludicrous dream to provoke me to write. I wonder if that is a sign for me to cease.
So, there you have it. I figured out one working of my mind...perhaps...
