More of the Same
Is this another case of political hypocrisy?
The guy that’s chipping away at the foundation set by Ataturk, trying to turn back the clock in Turkey, and hoping to force all women to cover their heads in public is demanding a state for Palestinians. There is nothing wrong with the latter, and it is certainly long overdue. I am a fan of the film, Exodus, but feel that recent Israeli governments have not been playing fair. I also know that there will never, ever be peace in a spot where three religions collide and squabble over the same piece of dirt.
But, the Turkish dude should stay home and help the Kurds get a homeland, not persecute and bomb them. They are just as deserving, if not more deserving than the Palestinians. If you want to read about shabby treatment, spend some time with documents outlining US policy over the past century towards this folk.
As to the question above: it's rhetorical. Of course it's hypocrisy.
