Faith Is A Health Hazard
I'm not a big fan of religion, especially the kind sold in the bible belt of the US. Readers of my novel, Sister Sisteron, might have surmised this fact.
I have discovered a new reason to support the wisdom of avoiding this balderdash. A recent study by Northwestern University proves a correlation between religious observance and obesity in young adults. (http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/poll/2011/mar/25/obesity-religion?INTCMP=SRCH) It's market research, so it must be ttue.
And, I always thought that Big Sugar, Big Corn, and Big Agriculture were responsible for Americans being over-weight...
