_ Government budgets are being cut everywhere. There is not enough money to paint classrooms; so parents donate money and time to do it themselves. But, the German Supreme Court is meeting today to decide if states will be required to spend money to erect a separate space in each school for prayer.
A student in Berlin sued the school system, claiming that his religious freedom was being violated. The school did not offer a special room for prayer, which he was forced to do five times a day. (I wonder what his grades were or if he missed tests).
Some people are able to pray anywhere, carrying all the needed tools in their heads. Others seem to need help or something...or just want to be a pain in the neck for other citizens of the country in which they do not want to assimilate.
